Ghana trounced India by 4-0 on Thursday in a crucial last group match of the FIFA Under-17 World CUP played at JLN stadium Delhi.
It was the third straight loss for India U-17 team India after being thrashed by the US in their first encounter and Colombia in the second game.
The Colts started the game on a very energetic note and kept Africans on the bay until the last minutes of the first half when Ghana skipper Eric Aiyah succeded to pierce through the Indian defence.Â
The win is crucial not just for India but two-time FIFA U 17 World Cup Champion Ghana as well. The Africans need to win the match against India with a healthy margin of goals to keep their title hopes alive.Â
