New Delhi:

Alan Pardew on Monday has left English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion by 'mutual consent', following eight successive Premier League defeats.

The 56-year-old had only been at the club for four months after replacing Tony Pulis, but poor form and equally bad set of results saw West Brom hanging at the bottom of the table – 10 points away from safety with only six games left.

Amongst those six games, three are against gigantic trio of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

“West Bromwich Albion and Alan Pardew have agreed to mutually part company today following discussions between both parties,” read a club statement on their website. “Assistant Head Coach John Carver will also be leaving. The Club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours. First-team coach Darren Moore has been placed in charge of first team affairs until further notice. The Club will not be making any further comment at this time.”

Pardew, who was last sacked by Crystal Palace months after taking them to FA Cup final replaced Pulis after a winless run of 10 games.

First-team coach Darren Moore will take over until further notice.
