International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), has declared the nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2018 following a massive season in terms of European club football and FIFA World Cup 2018.
The shortlisted players are selected for their performances for their respective club and countries for the period 3 July 2017-15 July 2018.
Former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2017 edition of the award after helping the Spanish giants win the Champions League and La Liga titles.
A notable absentee from the list is Paris Saint Germain and Brazilian superstar Neymar following his underwhelming performance in the World Cup and a long-term injury during the club season for PSG.
