Chelsea are interested in Bayern Leverkusen full-back Benjamin Henrichs and are willing to pay 31 million pounds for him, as per the reports.
The 21-year-old full back has been rated Bundesliga’s best young defender.
The German, last summer signed a two-year contract extension at Leverkusen. The new contract has a 31 million pounds release clause.
Henrichs has been a target for both the Manchester clubs and according to reports, the Blues are now leading the chase for the defender.

Although the move completely depends on Antonio Conte’s future, with former Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique touted as favourite to take over the managerial spot.
Henrichs, who is primarily a full back has impressed with his versatility and have excelled in different positions this season.
A Leverkusen youth product, Henrichs can play on either flank and can take up the role of a midfielder if needed.
The full back has struggled with injuries this season but has impressed when fit.
Chelsea currently have Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Davide Zappacosta and Victor Moses as their full back options.
Although reports suggest that Barcelona could move for Alonso, who has impressed with his attacking abilities this season and have grabbed a spot in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
