ICC T20 World Cup 2016: How the last four teams played yet

The ICC T20 World Cup 2016 has arrived to its last leg where just four teams left to fight for the glory. The mega event started from 8th March where 16 teams started their journey. But now just four teams-India, New Zealand, West Indies and England remained in the tourney.

West Indies and New Zealand topped the group stage and India and England followed them.

West Indies, a T20 side always was the top contender for the title despite board room issues back home. Many of them play IPL, so they are well versed of the condition. With player like Chis Gayle, Darren Sammy, Samuel Badree they are very good side. But the lost against minnows Afghanistan shows their unpredictability and indiscipline for the game.

England, under Eoin Morgan they are playing some good cricket. After the 2015 World Cup heart break, they have bounced back in the limited overs. With Joe Root enjoying his best phase of cricket they can beat any team on given day. They have some utility players like Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Josh Butler to finish the game. They lost against West Indies due to just Chris Gayle’s brilliance.

New Zealand, under new skipper Kane Williamson has played very good cricket, especially their spin bowling department. For Kiwis Santner and Sodhi were their find of the tournament. They won each of their league matches convincingly. They have ample talent and all-rounders to spring a surprise for everyone.

India, have been fighting hard to get to the semis. They are very fortunate to reach the last four as Virat Kohli has been firing all cylinders. Kohli has been the one-man army for the team but the way he is batting India doesn’t need any one to fire. After the loss against New Zealand, India struggled in every match.
