South Africa chose to bowl against Bangladesh but they were dented by an aggressive start from Soumya Sarkar. The right-hander was given good support by Tamim Iqbalbut Andile Phehlukwayo and Chris Morris sent the openers back quickly. Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim showed their class and both registered fifties. Shakib notched up his 43rd fifty while Rahim hit his 34th fifty as the partnership went past 100. Bangladesh were boosted in the end by Mahmudullah's magical knock and an aggressive cameo from Mossadek Hossain aas they notched up their highest score in the World Cup at 330/6. In response, Faf du Plessis slammed a fifty and was given good support from Aiden Markram and JP Duminy but Bangladesh bowled with discipline and they have secured their second win against the Proteas in the ICC Cricket World Cup. 23:06 hrs IST:  Bangladesh have beaten South Africa by 21 runs. This is the second time since the 2007 World Cup that the Bangladesh Tigers have defeated the Proteas. Faf du Plessis' side are now in danger of not securing momentum ahead of their clash against India.

22:58 hrs IST: South Africa need 33 off 6 balls. Their campaign is now in serious danger now.

22:54 hrs IST: It is all over bar the shouting. South Africa need 40 off 12 balls. Ngidi will not bat.

22:48 hrs IST: FOURS, WICKET! Duminy blasts two boundaries off Saifuddin and in the next over, Mustafizur gets rid of the dangerous Duminy as the batsman drags a short ball back onto the stumps and Bangladesh on the cusp of a famous win. South Africa need 44 off 17.

22:42 hrs IST: WICKET! Brilliant from Mustafizur. After getting slammed for a boundary, Chris Morris holes out to deep midwicket and South Africa need 56 off 25 balls.

22:26 hrs IST: WICKET! High full toss from Saifuddin, just below the waist, Phehlukwayo thumps the ball staright to cover where Shakib takes the catch. All hopes on JP Duminy now.

22:12 hrs IST: WICKET MAIDEN! Saifuddin bowls a brilliant over and the required rate is 10 . South Africa are 228/5 after 40 overs.

22:08 hrs IST: WICKET! After five runs in the previous over, Rassie van der Dussen looks to smash Saiffudin across the line but gets cleaned up. South Africa are 228/5 in 39.1 overs, needing 103 runs more to win.

18:43 hrs IST: Bangladesh have crossed 300 against South Africa and that has resulted in massive cheers from the Bangladesh camp. After 48 overs, Bangladesh are 302/5.

18:36 hrs IST: Superb batting from Mosaddek Hossain. He top-edges a pull shot and Kagiso Rabada drops it at long leg, the next two boundaries are nailed over deep midwicket and deep extra cover. Bangladesh are 291/5 in 47 overs.

15:47 hrs IST: WICKET! Much needed wicket for South Africa and Andile Phehlukwayo is thrilled to bits. Short of a length ball and it straightens outside off, Tamim plays away from the body and edges it to Quinton de Kock to depart for 16. After 8.2 overs, Bangladesh are 60/1.
