South Africa chose to bowl against Bangladesh but they were dented by an aggressive start from Soumya Sarkar. The right-hander was given good support by Tamim Iqbalbut Andile Phehlukwayo and Chris Morris sent the openers back quickly. Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim showed their class and both registered fifties. Shakib notched up his 43rd fifty while Rahim hit his 34th fifty as the partnership went past 100. Bangladesh were boosted in the end by Mahmudullah's magical knock and an aggressive cameo from Mossadek Hossain aas they notched up their highest score in the World Cup at 330/6.
