The 26th encounter of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Australia and Bangladesh at Trent Bridge in Nottingham witnessed some colossal hitting from the five-time champions - Australia. In the 40th over of the first innings, David Warner smashed six straight over Rubel Hossain's head. Rubel pitched the ball in Warner’s six-hitting slot and he treated it in the same manner by getting the maximum runs of the ball. Interestingly, the six hit by Warner off Bangladeshi speedster Rubel Hossain turned out to be 200th six of the twelfth edition of the quadrennial tournament.

Finch and Warner were great at the start and utilised the conditions well. The pitch offered at Trent Bridge was a flat deck and the duo capitalized it with both hands. Both openers hammered the ball all around the ground and strung a partnership of 121 runs in 20.5 overs before part-time bowler Soumya Sarkar sent the Australian skipper back to the pavilion.

Once Finch departed, Warner took responsibility on his shoulders and played with more maturity. Warner, along with Usman Khawaja continued to give hiccups to the opposition to register 192 runs partnership.

Warner, who was looking good to become the first Australian batsman to score a double ton in ODI cricket was dismissed by Soumya Sarkar. Interestingly, Soumya Sarkar has a total of four ODI wickets, of which three came in this game. Once Warner was dismissed, the wickets kept tumbling for Australia as they eventually finished for 368 runs on the board in 49 overs, which at one stage looked to go beyond 400.

If Bangladesh chase this out, it will turn out to be their highest successful chase in ODI cricket. With Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim in prime form, the Bangladeshi management and supporters will be fancying their chances on a batting friendly wicket.
