After a sensational win against Bangladesh at Edgbaston in Birmingham, the Indian team qualified for the seventh time in a World Cup semi-final. The men-in-blue over the course of their eight games tinkered with playing eleven, which nine out of ten times turned in India’s favour.

India’s bowling all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, who is playing his second 50-over World Cup, hasn’t got a game to play. However, he has always been named as India’s 12th man, who comes to field as and when required. Interestingly, against West Indies, Jadeja even pulled off a blinder to help India be back in the game.

Seeing his position in the team currently, the Indian batsman turned commentator, Sanjay Manjrekar termed him as ‘bits and pieces player’. While commentating in a World Cup game, he said, “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner.”

Manjrekar statement came into the limelight and even hit the ears of Ravindra Jadeja himself who couldn’t control his emotions and lashed Manjrekar. To get his statement heard, Ravindra Jadeja took to the twitter said, “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I’m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea (diarrhea).”

Interestingly, Jadeja wrote 'twist' instead of 'twice' in his first tweet, but seeing the gravity of the topic, he deleted his first tweet, and came with a correction in new tweet.
