After a month of intense battle in the league stage, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has entered its final leg and has four potential names – India, England, Australia and New Zealand – of which one would lift the coveted trophy. The first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played at Old Trafford, Manchester between India and New Zealand on Tuesday. In the other, hosts England will take on the defending champions Australia to seal first ever spot in the final. England have never won the ICC Cricket World Cup and this time they are being dubbed as one of the potential favourites to claim the title. India too is the challengers and given the current form of the team, it would be very tough for the other three teams to defeat them. However, if India wish to repeat their 2011 performance, when MS Dhoni led them to their second World Cup title, these three players will have to fire on all cylinders:
These 3 players would decide India’s fate in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019
Rohit Sharma: Hailed as the ‘hit man’ of team India, Rohit Sharma (647 runs) is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament. Rohit has hit five ton, which is the world record by any batsman in a single World Cup. The Mumbai lad is in his dream form and firing on all cylinders. If India plan to bring home the World Cup, it is highly significant for Rohit to continue smashing the bowlers the way he has been doing throughout the tournament.

Virat Kohli: World’s best batsman, the skipper of Indian team is the most crucial player for India’s World Cup dream. So far, Virat Kohli has been happily playing the second fiddle to Rohit Sharma, who is leading from the front. Although Kohli is yet to score a hundred in the World Cup, the talismanic player has hit five fifties. Although Kohli says he is okay to continue paying his current role, the Delhi lad has to covert his fifties into hundreds if India has to win the World Cup. Kohli has the ability to score runs in any situation against any team at any ground. And we are hoping to see his best in the coming game(s).
Jasprit Bumrah: India is quite lucky to have both World’s best batsman as well as number one bowler in the team. Jasprit Bumrah has been one of the most lethal bowlers of the World Cup along with the likes of Mitchel Starc and Jofra Archer. He has been Virat Kohli’s go to man and provided match-wining breakthroughs at several occasions. With 17 wickets in 8 innings at the economy of 4.48, Bumrah will be India’s most crucial weapon in the semi-final and in the final as well (given they win against New Zealand).
