After six weeks of supreme battle on the cricket field, ICC World Cup 2019 has come down to final clash at the Lord's Cricket Ground as the host-England will take on New Zealand with both teams aiming for maiden World Cup title. The finalists have struggled in various junctures during the league phase but they have been able to come out strong to knock India and Australia out of the contention.
England will be hoping to become the 3rd team in succession to win the World Cup at home which will be a reward to their evolution in ODIs post their 2015 CWC. New Zealand, on the other hand, will make a World Cup final appearance for the second consecutive time. The last World Cup final experience for the backcaps has been a forgettable one but they will definitely try to make the opportunity count and eventually make it as memorable stint.
