Kane Williamson has had a scintillating run in the tournament so far, scoring two fifties and as many hundred eventually helped him to become the most-successful batsman for the national team.
Martin Guptill, who has had a forgettable 2019 World Cup - finished the last quadernniel tournament with 547 runs. His dazzling run included a memorable double hundred against West Indies. However, the captain, had a better of him in the ongoing World Cup. Till now, he has scored 548 runs at a whopping average of 91.33.
Interestingly, before the start of the game, Williamson was 67 runs away from Martin Guptill's record and he finished at exactly the same number.
