Besides being the much-hyped contest, India vs Pakistan match is also significant for both teams in terms of semi-finals qualification. So far, India has played three games and won two of them, while their third match against New Zealand was a washout.
Pakistan, on the other hand, have lost two games after trouncing the hosts England in their first encounter. They had to share points with Sri Lanka as the match had to be abandoned due to rain. If Pakistan hope to qualify for semis, they need to win at least 4 of their remaining five matches.
