MS Dhoni hit a brilliant hundred as India crossed the 300-run mark in their second warm-up match of the 2019 Cricket World Cup against Bangladesh in Cardiff on Tuesday. The openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma fell cheaply again, which meant the onus was on the middle-order.
On Tuesday, Virat Kohli led a strong revival for India after Dhawan and Rohit failed in overcast conditions. Kohli walked in at No.3 and played some scintillating shots while KL Rahul made a successful audition for the number four spot with a stylish hundred. Hopefully, his runs will undoubtedly help India finalise the crucial berth after months of agony.

MS Dhoni's form was a major concern for India in 2018. He had led Chennai Super Kings to their 3rd title and batted brilliantly but that form did not translate in the international arena. However, Dhoni bounced back to form with 3 fifties in 3 matches as India won a historic bilateral ODI series in Australia.
Meanwhile, India is schedule to play against South Africa on June 5 at Rose Bowl in Southampton. This remains to be seen if Vijay Shankar gets a nod ahead of KL Rahul due to his ability to bowl a few overs. Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, also played a blissful innings against New Zealand and will be fancying his chances in the first eleven.
