BCCI terminates Harsha Bhogle's contract for IPL 2016

It’s been a big blow for the ace commentator Harsha Bhogle, as his contract with BCCI has been terminated just before the Indian Premier League 9. The popular voice will be missing the entire season. Bhogle has been part of the commentary team since the inception of the league.

It’s been said that the reason behind the termination is the heated argument between Bhogle and Vidarbha Cricket Association official during T20 World Cup 2016 game between India and New Zealand at Nagpur. Bhogle, a veteran of the commentary world, has been in the profession for last 30 years.

IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla and BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur refused to comment on Bhogle’s sudden termination. But accordinf to sources, “When deciding the commentators, we take feedback from everyone. We monitor social media reactions on commentators, and also take inputs from players.”

He has also praised foreign players a lot than the Indian team during World T20.

On the other hand, Ravi Shastri is back with mic in IPL after his contract with Indian team ends.
