Kings XI Punjab played well to restrict Gujarat Lions to 131 runs. Axar Patel took four wickets to derail Lions in the chase. 

It was a great bowling display by Gujarat Lions to restrict Kings XI Punjab to 154 runs on a batting beauty. M Vijay was the lone fighter for Kings XI as he scored 55 runs. Only four batsmen touched the double figure mark for Kings.

It is a clash between the table toppers Gujarat Lions and bottom lying Kings XI Punjab. Gujarat Lions won their last match by whisker and Kings XI lost badly. With six wins from seven matches Gujarat are flying high. Kings XI have axed Miller as their skipper and roped in M Vijay to lead them in rest of the tournament.
