Gujarat Lions make it two of two. Lions beat Rising Pune Supergiants by 7 wickets. McCullum and Finch gave them a rollicking start. Finch top scored with 50 and McCullum notched up 49.
Gujarat Lions crawled back in the game through Tambe and Jadeja to restrict Pune Supergiants to 163 runs. It was Faf and KP who scored quickly in first 10 overs. From 87 for 1 in 10 overs, Rising Pune Supergiants would have hoped to touch 200. It seems Pune are well 20 runs short.
The two former Chennai Super Kings pillar MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina will clash with each other for their new franchises. The match is literally CSK vs CSK at Rajkot. It will be first time in IPL history when Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are playing from different sides.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has won the toss and elected to bat first on a pitch which looks goods. The two debutant teams will play their second match after winning their first ones.
Gujarat Lions have brought in Pravin Tambe, Shadab Jakati and Akshdeep Nath in place of Pradeep Sangwan, Sarabjeet Ladda and Ishan Kishan. Pune are playing the unchanged side from last match.
