Kabaddi World Cup 2016: Australia beat Argentina 68-45 to register first victory in the tournament

Day 6 of the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup concluded with Australia registering their first victory in the tournament by thrashing Argentina 68-45 in the second match of the day played in Ahmedabad.

Day 6 of the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup concluded with Australia registering their first victory in the tournament by thrashing Argentina 68-45 in the second match of the day played in Ahmedabad.

After losing two matches on a trot, The Australian team bounced back with a clinical performance against bottom placed Argentina.  Showing a solid defense in the match, they scored 20 points while tackling.

Collecting 34 points from raids, the Australian team put up a good show while attacking and also sent the whole Argentina team out two times with 8 all out points.

The first half of the match rested at 35-18 in the favor of Australia taking a lead which continued till the full time showing Kangaroo team’s stronghold on the match.

For the winning team it was the duo of Kuldeep and Jasvir Singh who put up a good show to take their team home.  Both collected 25 points together to disable the defense and attack of the opponent team.

The victory took Australia up in the table just above Argentina but a lot of similar performance is required from them to excel further in the tournament which will last till October 22.
