Ferrari’s star racer Sebastian Vettel would look to continue his domination in the racing arena as he faces stiff competition from teammate Kimi Raikkonen and arch-Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton at the Chinese Grand Prix 2017.

In Saturday’s practice session, Vettel sprinted to come atop after with the fastest time inching ahead of both the competitors.

After winning the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne two weeks back, Vettel continued his class form in Shanghai too after he blazed the circuit with one minute 33.336 seconds of time in the afternoon’s qualifying race.

This blistering time is even faster than the quickest pole-position time ever in China. Interestingly the very same record was also by Vettel only when the four-time world champion from Germany created the record for Red Bull in 2011.

Next up was Vettel’s Ferrari teammate, Raikkonen who clocked one minute 33.389 seconds. Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes came third, while Lewis Hamilton got the fourth spot with a difference of little over a half second.

Three-time Formula One world champion, Hamilton tried hard to compete with Vettel but he ran wide at the hairpin and had to settle for a time of 1:33.879.

Saturday's third practice was the first full session drivers had in Shanghai circuit after the previous day's outing was cut short amid poor air quality and bad weather condition.
