Carolina Marin: The shuttler between Sindhu and gold medal

Carolina Marin is a Spanish shuttler who will be facing India's PV Sindhu in the badminton women singles final of Rio Olympics game 2016. She is currently ranked number 1 in the world by Badminton World Federation Women's Singles 2016.

The 23-year-old shuttler was born in Huelva (Spain) and is also a world champion in women's singles in 2014 and 2015.

Better known as fast-like-a-flash, the woman has incredible figures in her career graph. 239 wins, 74 losses with a Winning percentage of 76.36%.

She also owns 19 individual titles and 8 runner-up stands.

In many firsts, she became the first Spanish badminton player to win a silver medal first, at the 2009 European Junior Badminton Championships, and a gold medal later, at the 2009 European U17 Badminton Championships. She is also the first Spanish badminton player to win a Grand Prix Gold title after winning the 2013 London Grand Prix Gold.

It will be interesting to see if Indian shuttler PV Sindhu can surpass her to claim the gold medal in Rio Olympics 2016. The game will be played at 6:55pm (IST) on Friday.
