Gymnastics: Dipa Karmakar makes her Olympic debut with a score of 15.100 on Vault in Artistic Gymnastics. She scores 12.866 on Balance beam and 11.666 in uneven bar exercise and finished 27th. In her maiden Olympic Games, Gymnast Dipa Karmakar through to Vault finals after she ended No. 8 in the qualifying round.
Hockey: India Women finished their first match 2-2 against Japan and now they will play Great Britain in the second encounter.
