Rio De Janeiro:

On day 2 in Rio Olympics, the Indian women’s hockey team will face Japan in their first match of the Rio Games. The women’s team is making comeback to the Olympics after a gap of 36 years. This is a great event in women’s hockey history.

Sushila Chanu will lead team India in the absence of Poonam Rani, who was dropped from the squad.

The team is decently experienced but they have tough competition ahead in Rio games. They have to play extremely well to reach the knock out stage.

India vs Japan – August 7

India vs Great Britain – August 9

India vs Australia – August 10

India vs Argentina – August 13
