Rio Olympics 2016: Lifter Mirabai Chanu to start her campaign, aims for Olympic medal

Lifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu will begin her campaign on Friday in the women's 48kg category, she will have a have an outside chance of a medal for India at the Rio Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Mirabai, topped the selection trials among Indian women competitors across all weight categories in June, had managed to match the bronze-medallist at 2012 London Olympics in women's 48kg category with a total lift of 192kg.

Earlier in 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, she won silver medal in the women's 48 kg weight class by lifting a total of 170 kgs.
