Undoubtedly one of spectacular stars in Badminton, Saina Nehwal is India’s best hope for 2016 Rio Olympics. A Khel Ratna awardee, Nehwal burst into the scene at the age of 16 when she helped India get team bronze in 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
The girl from Hyderabad is the first Indian to bag a medal in Badminton at the Olympics, she achieved this feat by winning the Bronze medal at 2012 London games. She is also the first Indian after Prakash Padukone and the first Indian woman to become world number 1 badminton player. The World number 5 is looking to clinch his second medal in Rio.
