Asian Indoor Games: Indians win five medals on Day 10 as Sourav Kothari clinches gold in men's singles billiards

Indian athletes continued their good show on the tenth day of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games by adding five medals to their kitty, including a gold by cueist Sourav Kothari.

Asian Indoor Games: Indians win five medals on Day 10 as Sourav Kothari clinches gold in men's singles billiards

Indian athletes continued their good show on the tenth day of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games by adding five medals to their kitty, including a gold by cueist Sourav Kothari. Kothari won the gold in the singles billiards as he defeated Praprut Chaithanasakun of Thailand 3-1 (100-80 101-0 29-101 101-88) in the final. 

In tennis, the mixed doubles pair of Vishnu Vardhan and Prarthana Thombare bagged the silver after losing to the Thai duo of Nuttanon Kadchapanan and Nicha Lertpitaksinchai 7-5 4-6 2-6 in the final. Wrestlers added three bronze medals through Sandeep Tomar (-61kg), Deepak (-86kg) and Pooja Dhanda (-58kg).

With 7 gold, 8 silver and 14 bronze, India remained at 12th spot in the medals tally with just two days left in the Games.
