India's Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli registered her first victory in the elite FIDE Women's Grand Prix to jump four notches to take the joint sixth position in the tournament.

Starting with white, she played a solid game to push Natalia Zhukova of Russia into time pressure in the fourth round to win the game after 34 moves. She has two points in her kitty now, with one victory, one loss and two draws.

"I applied pressure on my opponent all through the game. As she rushed into her last few moves, I slowly outplayed her," she added.

Harika has a rest day on Wednesday and will take on China's Ju Wenjunin in the fifth round on Thursday. Seven more rounds remain in this Grand Prix which has attracted the world's top players.
