Third seed Danish shuttler Viktor Axelsen stunned home favourite K Srikanth in the second round of the Indian Open being played at the Siri Fort Stadium in New Delhi.
The tall and lanky shuttler was in all conquering mood from the very start and unnerved his Indian opponent with some aggressive all round play. Earlier on Thursday, Indian shuttler Sai Praneeth bowed out of the India Open after losing in straight sets to Chou Tein Chen of in the second round.
The other Indian men's shuttlers in the fray who would be in action later in the evening are Sourabh Verma who shall be taking on NG Ka Long Angus of China. Meanwhile, K Srikanth shall lock horns against Viktor Axelsen.
