Like other disciplines, the Indians brushed aside challenge by bagging six gold out of eight on offer, besides winning five silver and two bronze medals as well in the overall count.

Today, Indians swept all the medals in women’s 80km individual road race with T Bidyaluxmi winning the gold in 2 hours 30 minutes and 55.350 seconds.

Compatriots Lidiyamol Sunny and Geethu Raj took the silver and bronze in 2:30:55.69 and 2:30:55.90 respectively.

But, in men’s 100km individual road race, Pankaj Kumar finished second behind Jeevan Silva of Sri Lanka, who clocked 2 hours 25 minutes and 38.65 seconds to win the gold. Nisar Ahmed of Pakistan won the bronze.

India had also dominated in cycling in the last edition

in Dhaka by winning 3 gold and a silver. Sri Lanka had won 1 gold and 1 silver then.
