PV Sindhu on Thursday knocked out of Japan Open Superseries by losing to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara.

Sindhu lost the game to Okuhara in straight sets 18-21, 8-21. She crashed out of the tournament in second round. Japan Open Superseries badminton is being played in Tokyo.

This game was ninth clash between the two stars where Okuhara leads 5-4.

Saina Nehwal is set to play her game later in the day at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Earlier in the day, Kidambi Srikanth trounces Hu Yun in straight games to book a place in the last eight of the men's singles at the Japan Open on Thursday. Srikanth took just 29 minutes to dispatch his opponent from Hong Kong.
