In what came in as the biggest upset in the Korea Open, Indonesian teenage shuttler Antony Ginting stunned World No 1 Son Wan Ho in three closely contested games to book a place in his maiden Superseries finals. 

The 20-year-old Indonesian shuttler stunned World No 1 Son Wan Ho in front of his Korean fans to enter his first ever Superseries final. Ginting made a slow start but got into his rhythm as the game went along and eventually held the aces against his more experienced opponent.

Ginting clinched the semis contest 16-21, 21-18, 21-13. In the women's section, Nozomi Okuhara defeated Akane Yamaguchi to seal a place in the women's singles finals.
