Korea Open Superseries: Son Wan Ho defeats Sameer Verma in three game quarter-final to storm into semis

Son Wan Ho once again proved why he is the top shuttler in the world as the South Korean overcame a strong challenge from India's Sameer Verma in the quarterfinals of the Korea Open Super Series on Thursday.

Son Wan Ho once again proved why he is the top shuttler in the world as the South Korean overcame a strong challenge from India's Sameer Verma in the quarterfinals of the Korea Open Super Series on Thursday. 

The World No.1 was pushed to three sets by his Indian opponent in the men's singles quarters. The South Korean shuttler sealed the quarters 20-22 21-10 21-13.

Verma put up a strong fight against the Korean but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss in three games against World No 1 Son. The Korean has now beaten two Indians, P Kashyap and Verma  to enter the semi-finals on home soil.  India's PV Sindhu shall be in action later in the day
