Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao congratulated ace shuttler PV Sindhu for winning the women’s singles title at the Korea Open Super Series on Sunday.
An official statement from Rao’s office said, “The CM wished that PV Sindhu would bring many laurels to the country and the state in future.”
Sindhu on Sunday defeated her Japanese opponent Nozomi Okuhara to win Korea Open Super Series 2017. She became the first Indian Badminton Player to win Korean Super Series title.
This was the third Super Series title for Sindhu overall. She had won the China Super Series title in 2016.
Sindhu shall pocket USD 45000 as prize money for winning the Korea Open Super Series 2017 tournament.
