Lee Chong Wei clinched his fourth All-England Badminton championships title by thumping rising Chinese shuttler Shi Yuqi 21-12,21-10 in the Men's Singles final played on Sunday.

Malaysia's ace badminton shuttler Lee Chong Wei clinched his fourth All-England Badminton championships title by thumping rising Chinese shuttler Shi Yuqi 21-12,21-10 in the Men's Singles final played on Sunday.

Chong Wei considered one the modern day greats of the game had previously annexed the title in 2010, 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Shi Yuqi made his maiden final appearance at the premier tournament after stunning his fellow Chinese compatriot Lin Dan in the semis.

Chong Wei had won both his previous encounters against the Chinese shuttler, at the 2015 Canada Open and the 2016 Japan Open.

Earlier on Sunday, Malaysia’s mixed doubles pairing of Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying lost 21-18, 19-21 and 16-21 to China’s Lu Kai-Huang Yaqiong.
