It was disappointing Rio Games 2016 for India as they bagged only two medals in the tournament. Represented by their largest ever contingent, India will hope to improve its medal tally in the Paralympic Games start which starts on Wednesday at Rio from September 7-18.
A total of 19 Indian athletes will feature in 10 disciplines at the Games.
Paralympic gold medallist javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia, will look to finish high in the Rio games.
Till now India has bagged two gold, three sliver and three bronze in the Paralympic Games. In last London games India won just one silver and bronze.
