New Delhi:
The fifth season of the Pro Kabaddi league shall get underway later on Friday with a glittering opening ceremony at Hyderabad. Season 5 is going to be bigger and better with 12 teams in the fray, battling it hard for the coveted trophy.
This Pro Kabaddi league's edition shall be more competitive with the addition of four new franchises to the existing eight teams. Twelve teams from eleven states shall compete in 130 matches across 3 months to vie for the top honours. Kabaddi fans would be at the edge of their seats to witness the teams get into the court and take to action.
In the new format, 12 teams have been divided into two zones of six teams each, where each team will play 15 intra-zone and seven inter-zone matches, before the play-offs. The tournament shall kick start in breathtaking fashion with Telugu Titans taking on Tamil Thalaivas.

Where and what time would the opening ceremony take place
The opening ceremony shall take place at Hyderabad at 6:30 pm. Each city shall witness its own opening ceremony as the league moves onto different venues
