Pro Kabaddi League 2017, Mum vs Pun: Puneri Paltan overpower U Mumba by 32-21

Puneri Paltan on Friday defeated U Mumba by 33-21 in the second encounter of Pro Kabaddi League 2017 season 5 in Hyderabad.

Star raider Deepak Hooda was given the “Perfect Raider” award while All-rounder Sandeep Narwal was awarded “Player of the Match” for his wonderful defensive skills on the mat.

The skipper of U Mumba Anup Kumar scored the first point of the match but his team could not stretch the lead any further and eventually overpowered by Pune with an ease of 12 points in a Maharashtra derby.

Earlier in the previous match, Rahul Choudhari’s Telugu Titans defeated Ajay Thakur’s Tamil Thalaivas 32-27 in a star studded opening encounter of Pro Kabaddi League 2017 season 5 in Hyderabad.

Two of the biggest heroes of Indian kabaddi, Rahul Chaudhari and Ajay Thakur were up against each other in the match but Rahul’s Titans in the end over powered Thakur’s Thalaivas. 

Dhananjan of Tamil Thalaivas scored the first point of the season five with a bonus point. However, initially both teams were fighting tooth and nails to over power each other but it was the "Raid Machine" Rahul Chaudhari who turned the entire course of the match. Rahul scored a super 10 in the very first match of the Vivo Pro-kabaddi League 2017.
