New Delhi:

The countdown has begun for a much-awaited sports event of the year Pro-Kabaddi League 2017 Season 5. The tournament will kick start from July 28 with four new teams- Haryana Steelers, Gujarat Fortunegiants, UP Yoddha and Tamil Thalaivas.

India’s ancient sports Kabaddi has managed to fetch international recognition in a short span of time and completed four successful seasons.

Season 5 of the indigenous sport is also expected to have an even larger impact with some “videshi tadka.” Apart from our “desi” heroes like Pradeep Sangwan, Rahul Choudhari, Manjeet Chillar and others, some foreign players are also showcasing their muscle power.

From Iran to Thailand and Kenya to Korea, players from all across the world are ready to take the “panga” along with their Indian counterparts.

Here is the list of top 6 foreign players:

Abozar Mohajer Mighani: 27-year-old Iranian national is the most expensive foreign player of the season 5. He was bought on a whopping Rs. 50 Lakh by Adani-Wilmer backed team Gujrat. The defender wears jersey no. 10 and we have heard his muscle power is no less than a giant yeti.

Jang Kung Lee: He is faster than Cheetah and has the ability to win the match on his own. The South Korean star is playing for Bengal Warriors and he would be the player to watch out for.

Meraj Shyekh: Dabang Delhi didn’t have to think even once before retaining him as a captain for season 5. The Iranian all-rounder has been one of the most dependable players of Pro-Kabaddi League.

Abolfazl Maghsodlou: The Iranian raider is long enough to claim the touch even from the centre line. The lighting speed and tall height make him a player to watch out for. He is also a “Dabang” Delhiite.

David Mosambayi: 23-year-old Kenyan captain has been picked up by new entrant Haryana Steelers. The all-rounder is a perfect example of power and speed. He is also the captain of Kenyan national Kabaddi team.

Khomsan Thongkham: You don’t have to look much beyond the 2016 world-cup to understand why Haryana Steelers picked him. Under his captaincy, Thailand made it to the semi-finals before being overpowered by Indians. The raider is a good bet and off-course an impact player.
