India's ace professional boxer Vijender Singh is all set to pack a punch when he defends his WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental super middleweight titles against African Champion Ernest Amuzu at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on December 23.
The 32-year-old pugilist from Bhiwani, who is currently ninth in the WBO rankings, came out victorious against China's No.1 boxer Zulpikar Maimaitiali during his last fight in Mumbai to claim WBO Oriental Super Middleweight title and successfully defended his WBO Asia Pacific title.
Vijender, who had won double title fight in August this year, made his professional boxing debut in 2015. He has won nine consecutive fights on the trotwith seven of them being won by Knockouts and two by Unanimous Decision.
He has played 40 rounds in his nine fights of pro career so far. Before winning double title fight against Maimaitiali in August this year, the Golden boy of Indian boxing was challenged by Francis Cheka of Tanzania for his WBO Asia Pacific Title in December last year which was gracefully retained by Vijender.
Vijender won his maiden title last year in July after defeating Kerry Hope of Australia. Other top Indian Pro boxers will feature in the card which will be announced soon.
