India’s ace badminton starPV Sindhu displayed nerves of steel as she stormed into the final of the World Badminton Championships after destroying her World No. 9 opponent, Chen Yufei 21-13, 21-10 in Glasgow on Sunday.
Sindhu dominated the game from the beginning and was ruthless throughout the semi-final match. She has however assured the country of a silver medal through this scintillating victory.

She has won two bronze medals at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014, but she will surely be looking to clinch the gold this time around.

The World No. 4 will now lock horns against Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara who defeated Saina Nehwal on Saturday.

Sindhu has been in rampaging form ever since the Rio Olympics. She clinched her maiden Super Series premier title at China Open last year before winning the India Super Series at New Delhi in April. She also won the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold in January.
