New Delhi:

India's ace cueist Sourav Kothari produced some spectacular billiards to edge past fellow countryman Siddharth Parikh 7-5, entering the title clash of the 2017 LiteTask World Billiards Championship being played at the Northern Snooker Center.

In the other semi-final played between two former world champions, Dave Causier of England defeated Rupesh Shah of India by 7-4. This is the first time that Kothari reached the finals of the World Billiards, organized by the World Billiards Limited.

He had earlier, reached the finals of the long-up form'sat of the IBSF World Billiards Championship last year held in Bangalore but lost to Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in the finals. The best of 15 games finals between Sourav Kothari and David Causier will be played later in the evening.
