New Delhi:

One of World Wrestling Entertainment's greatest wrestlers Mark Calaway, better known by his ring name The Undertaker, bid farewell to his glittering wrestling career after losing to Roman Reigns at Wrestle Mania 33 on Sunday.

Undertaker's 27-year long career was studded with glittering achievements which included winning the WWE Championship thrice and annexing the WWE Heavyweight title four times.

The giant-like Undertaker became a household name in the wrestling fraternity in the 90s and 2000s courtesy his sheer charismatic persona and popularity with fans across the globe.

His signature moves 'Tombstone' and 'Chokeslam' became a rage among WWE die hard fans who died to get a glimpse of the same. Undertaker competed in WWE in an era where the wrestling entertainment industry had  a galaxy of superstars like Hulk Hogan, Bret the Hitman Hart and Macho Man who were at the zenith of their careers, yet the 'Dead Man' created a niche for himself with his uncharacteristic wrestling moves and the hyped up mystery built around his 'DeadMan' persona.

The loss to Roman Reigns was only the second defeat for The Undertaker at WrestleMania, where he had won a staggering 23 matches in his career. Brock Lesnar was the first man to beat Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.

After the match, he laid down his wrestling gear in the ring to signal the end of his nearly three decade-long career.

In some of the other matches in WrestleMania 33, Brock Lesnar defeated Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship, while Randy Orton clinched the WWE Championship, beating Bray Wyatt.

John Cena and Nikki Bella won a mixed tag team match against The Miz and Maryse, while The Hardy Boyz, comprising of Matt and Jeff Hardy, made a successful return to WWE as they won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.
