Royal Rumble 2018 proved to be a historic even for WWE for various reasons. The pay per view witnessed the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match which saw competitors from the past, Raw, Smackdown and NXT.
Former NXT women’s champion Asuka eliminated Nikki Bella to win the coveted match and earn herself a title match at Wrestlemania 34. However, it was the debut of Ronda Rousey which grabbed maximum eyeballs.
The former UFC Women's Bantamweight division champion made a shocking appearance at the 31st edition of Royal Rumble. Fans at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia literally went mad as soon as her entrance music played.
WWE fans were eagerly waiting to see Ronda debut in the world’s biggest wrestling promotion ever since she participated in a Wrestlemania angle. The California native recently signed an exclusive contract with WWE.
Before her official debut there were a lot of speculations over who Ronda will face at Wrestlemania 34. Grapevines were buzzing with the rumours that WWE will put the former MMA fighter in a high-profile match.Â
It was being speculated that Ronda will go on to face Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown women’s championship at the grandest event of all, Wrestlemania. Charlotte even teased a fight between the two on social media.
According to the latest reports, WWE is planning a match featuring Ronda and a surprise partner opposite WWE’s power couple- Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlemania in New Orleans.
The tag team contest is expected to be one of the most publicised matches of the extravaganza on April 8.Â
We just can't wait for Wrestlemania 34 and in case this match materialises then fans would be very happy to see their favourite star beat the hell out of Vince’s daughter.Â
