Overcoming all the odds, fan favourite Asuka eliminated Nikki Bella to win the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. The former NXT women’s champion entered the match at number 25 and immediately went after her opponents.

WWE presented its first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match from Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center sending fans into tizzy. Female superstars from Raw, Smackdown, NXT competed in the historic match to earn a title match at Wrestlemania 34.

Giving the wrestling fans across a treat, WWE announced that the women’s Rumble match will be the main event of the pay per view. And we must say, the superstars didn’t disappoint.

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch were the first two superstars to start the coveted match. Soon they were joined by the likes of Sarah Logan, Kairi Sane, Tamina and Mandy Rose.

Former wrestlers like Trish Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly, Michele Mccool, Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix were the surprise entrants in the Rumble match. All of the lovely ladies received cheers from the fans at the arena.

The Rumble match was nothing short of a blockbuster affair. From Lita hitting the ‘Twist of Faith’ to Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks to Trish Stratus delivering a ‘Strautasfaction’ to the Bella twins, the main event had it all.

The ‘Empress Of Tomorrow’ will now challenge one of the current reigning women’s champion on Raw or Smackdown at Wrestlemania 34.  The Japanese wrestler is certainly on a roll as she is yet to be pinned or submitted inside the WWE ring.

The 31st edition of Royal Rumble will also be remembered for the much-awaited WWE debut of Ronda Rousey. The former UFC Women's Bantamweight division champion made a surprise appearance after the main event ended.

Ronda joined Asuka, Raw Women’s champion Alexa Bliss and Smackdown Women’s champion Charlotte in the ring. She pointed out towards the Wrestlemania sign, indicating that she will be part of the wrestling extravaganza.
