We are just four weeks away from Wrestlemania 34 and fans already are excited for the biggest extravaganza in WWE. After a blockbuster pay per view in the form of Fastlane, two matches have been added to the Wrestlemania card.
AJ Styles retained his WWE championship against John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens in a six-pack challenge. The ‘Phenomenal One’ will now take on Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE championship at the grandest stage of them all.
For the uninitiated, Nakamura had won the men’s 2018 Royal Rumble back in January. The ‘King of Strong Style’ had earned the opportunity to face any champion of his right and he chose the WWE championship for a match at WM 34.
Fastlane proved why Charlotte Flair is the most dominant women superstar on Smackdown. The ‘Queen’ retained her Smackdown Women’s title against Ruby Riott in a high-profile match.
Even before the five-time women’s champion could enjoy the victory, Asuka came to the ring and challenged her at Wrestlemania 34. Charlotte will now defend her Smackdown women’s championship against the Empress of Tomorrow at the ‘Showcase of Immortals’.
WWE’s newest signee Ronda Rousey will make her in-ring debut at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The former UFC Women's Bantamweight division champion will team up with Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to take on WWE’s power couple Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
