South Korea's  Hyeon Chung extended his dream run at the Australian Open by decimating American teenager Sandgren to make it to the semis in the men's singles on Wednesday.

The South Korean who had upset Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the last 16, cruised to another impressive victory 6-4, 7-6, 6-3. against Sandgren.

The rising star shall take on the winner of the quarters between defending champion Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych.

The South Korean has been one of the surprise packages in Melbourne this year. He made the world take notice of him after knocking out Alexander Zverev in the third round, the wind has been in his sails ever since.

Chung was highly impressive on serve and he was quick to open up a two-game advantage. Sandgren had a chance to serve out for the second set, but wasted a huge opportunity as Chung broke back.
