French Open 2017: Andy Murray, Stanislas Wawrinka, Rafael Nadal and Dominic Theim reach semi-finals

Tennis ace Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Stanislas Wawrinka and Dominic Theim have entered the semi-finals of the French Open. The tournament has witnessed several mercurial clashes till now and it promises to be better from now on.

French Open: Murray, Wawrinka, Nadal and Theim enter semis

Andy Murray had a tough time against Kei Nishikori and defeated him in four sets 2-6, 6-1, 7-6, 6-1 to reach semi-finals of French Open. It will be Murray’s fifth semi-final at Roland Garros and 21st grand slam semi-final overall.

On the other hand, third seed and 2015 French Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka displayed majestic form as he dismantled Marin Cilic 6-3 6-3 6-1 to book a semi-final meeting with Andy Murray at Roland Garros.

It will be Wawrinka's ninth appearance in a Grand Slam semi-final and his third straight appearance in the last four in Paris as he remains on course for a fourth major following his French Open, 2014 Australian Open and 2016 US Open successes.

Whereas the first semi-final will be between Murray and Wawrinka, the other will be played between Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal and Austrian Dominic Theim who won their respective encounters on Wednesday.
