The CBSE National Lawn Tennis Contest, held in Billabong High International School, Noida, witnessed a large number of students from National and International CBSE affiliated schools participating in this five-day competition. In the end, Billabong High International School gave their institution plenty to smile about as they clinched the U-19 Boys singles category. In the U-19 category, International School Hyderabad clinched the U-19 Girls singles category. Little Angels School, Sonipat, had two reasons to smile as both the boys and girls’ singles category won trophies in the U-17 category. Among those present was Lakshit Sood, who achieved a career high ATP doubles ranking of 282 in 2017.

The competition was successfully concluded under the leadership of Mrs. Sharmila Chatterjee, the Principal of Billabong High School and Mrs. Jasmine Gandhi, Manager. At the closing ceremony of the competition, students of Bilabong School presented colorful events.
The chief guest in the competition was Mr. Mahesh Dharmadhikari (Co-Secretary CBSE), Poonam Vishnoi (District Sports Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar), National Lawn Tennis Player Targeted and Chandil Sood appeared. All of them rewarded the winning players and boosted their morale.
