Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer defeated Stanislas Wawrinka in the Men's singles semifinals of the Australian Open on Thursday to march into the grand finale of the Grand Slam.

 

The Swiss ace won an epic 5-set marathon 7-5, 6-3, 1-6, 4-6 and 6-3 against his countrymate. Federer will now have a strong chance of winning his 18th Grand Slam Title. Federer already has the most number of Men's singles Grand Slam titles (17) in the Open Era.

Federer now awaits the winner of the second semifinal between Rafael Nadal and Grigor Dimitrov.

The fans at the Australian Open have kept their hopes alive on a dream final between arch-rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
