China has reached new milestone as it has surpassed the US and Japan to become the number one country in iOS games revenue in the second quarter, market researcher App Annie has reported.

This shows how the $36 billion mobile game industry has changed. According to App Annie, the credit growth goes to the revenue for homegrown Chinese mobile games such as Fantasy Westward Journey, Westward Journey Online, and Hero Moba.

The western developers have been slow about growth in China which is likely to light a fire with its iOS game business. According to App Annie, western developers will have to partner with local Chinese companies in order to succeed in China.
