The news of Google maps showing Jawahar Lal University (JNU) on typing Anti-National, sedition, patriotic made rounds on internet on Friday. However, now a news report is claiming that this may be because of a bug. A report on a leading website says that the error was due to a bug. As per the report Google in a written e-mail have said that the problem is because of a bug, and google is currently trying to fix it.
Also, Kanhaiya Kumar, also showed up in Google Maps search for other terms such as “intolerance”, “Kanhaiya Kumar”, and “Smriti Irani”.
The country was recently in the boil over the alleged ‘anti-national’ activities taking place at the JNU campus like the event allegedly supporting Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and raising of anti-national slogans.
JNSU president Kanhaiya Kumar and other students including mar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were arrested on the charges of sedition following the JNU row.
