Google makes doodle to pay homage to yesteryear Bollywood diva Nutan on her 81st birth anniversary

Wondering about those women on the Google doodle. Well it’s Nutan’s 81st birth anniversary and Google has paid homage to the yesteryear Bollywood diva with a special doodle.

Nutan was known for her expressive acting and the doodle, created with small faces of the “Bandini” actress captures various emotions forming the two ‘O’ of Google.

Born in 1936 to actress Shobhna Samarth and filmmaker Kumarsen Samarth, Nutan made her debut in films with “Hamari Beti” and went on to work in more than 70 Hindi films in a career spanning over 40 years.

Some of her most celebrated films are “Anari”, “Tere Ghar Ke Saamne”, “Seema”, “Bandini” “Sujata” “Milan” and “Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki”.

Nutan was married to Rajnish Bahl and died young at 54 after suffering from breast cancer. Her son Mohnish Bahl is a film and TV actor.

She was honoured with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honour, in 1974.
